Software Engineer (8008)
3eTI
currently has an opportunity for a Software Engineer
in our Rockville, Maryland office.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Java-based middleware for a spectrum management system and for a loosely formed sensor network
- Design, develop, and implement an intuitive, MVC-based GUI for a next generation wireless and spectrum management system
- Design and implement a Java/Swing/ESB middleware system for integrating sensors and collecting data for Naval vessel boarding inspection systems
- Re-architect, develop, and implement an integrated ESRI ArcIMS-based web GUI for a sensor network
- Design and implement creative technical solutions to address cutting edge DOD issues.
Qualifications:
-
BSEE/BSCE 4+ years experience with an emphasis in networking SW for platforms in Windows and/or Linux/Unix.
- Systems design and implementation experience and excellent Java skills are required.
- In depth knowledge of XML technologies such as DTD, Schemas, XSLT, XPATH and their use in messaging and document conversion.
- In depth knowledge of System Architecture, J2EE and IP internetworking protocols.
- In depth knowledge of IP internetworking protocols and industrial standard middleware interfaces such as SNMP, SOAP, WFS/SOS, and JMX.
- Excellent design and debugging skills as well as strong XML, web-based distributed programming experience is a must.
- Experienced with MVC framework and supporting implementations (e.g. Struts or Spring), as well as J2EE-based web application technologies and design patterns (e.g. JSP’s, Servlets, JavaBeans, taglibs, HTML, stylesheets, etc.)
- Familiar with rich web application technologies, such JavaScript/DHTML, Ajax, Flex, etc.
- Experienced with middleware-based concepts and technologies, including Mule/ESB, J2EE, Spring, Maven, and WFS/SOS.
- Proven track record in complete SW development life-cycle, functioning at the system level.

Senior Systems Engineer (8005)

This position will be responsible for providing product architecture and technical direction and generating hardware and software requirements. Participate in proposal writing and in providing system solutions.
Qualifications:
- BSEE, BSCS degree plus a minimum of 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for wireless oriented systems.
- This person should be knowledgeable in both hardware and software including DSP software.
- Must be able to architect a system from a concept.
- Should have experience in performing throughput analysis.
- Participate in proposal writing.
- Be able to generate software and hardware requirements.
- Knowledge and working experience with real-time embedded systems in a network enterprise systems.
- Mesh networking experience and embedded Linux is desirable.

Qualifications:
