General FAQ

Question:  Why do the following error messages appear?

Init tls error: Either the certificate file and private key file you gave the security server do not match, or the password you gave to the private key file is incorrect. Check both of these passwords.

Alert, fatal, unknown_ca: After trying to authenticate to a client, this message appears in the security server log file. The client’s certificate has not been signed by the root you specified for the security server.

Wrong password between AP 192.168.203.64 (your AP’s IP address) and the server: The shared secret you specified in your AP and the security server do not match. They must be exactly the same.

Read CRL error: The CRL file you specified for the security server does not have the correct format. It should be in PEM format. Please read the “get certificates from NT4 server” for more details.
